MetaWipe

Your files never leave your device. Verifiably.

Most online metadata removers upload your photos to their servers, clean them there, and let you download the result. You have no idea what happens to the copy they keep.

MetaWipe works differently: the entire engine — reading, displaying and stripping metadata — runs as code inside your browser. Your images are opened locally, cleaned locally and saved locally.

Don't trust us — verify it

  1. 1Open your browser's developer tools (F12) and go to the Network tab.
  2. 2Drop an image into MetaWipe and clean it.
  3. 3Watch the network log: zero requests are made while your image is processed.

You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads — cleaning keeps working.

What we store

  • Your images: never — they are not sent to us.
  • Your metadata: never — it is parsed in your browser only.
  • License keys: a random key and its expiry date. No name, no email (unless you choose to receive your key by email).
  • Analytics: none. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no trackers.
